Adebayo Adesiji Akindele is a seasoned compliance and risk management professional with over 21 years of diverse experience across the Real Estate Development and Financial Services sectors.

He began his career in 2002 at Home Securities Nigeria Limited as Head of Marketing in Abuja. In 2004, he joined Guaranty Trust Bank Plc, starting in the Systems and Control Division where he performed audit functions and rose to become Regional Head, a position he held for seven years.
In 2011, Adebayo transitioned to the Digital Banking Services Group, serving as Team Lead, Card Production Unit, where he oversaw debit/credit card issuance, procurement, and reconciliation for eight years. His expertise in operational processes and technology-driven banking positioned him as a vital contributor to the bank’s digital transformation.

By 2019, he moved into the Compliance Group of GTBank as Regional Head, a role he successfully held until 2025. In August 2025, he joined Guaranty Trust Pension Managers as Head of Compliance, where he currently leads efforts to navigate complex regulatory landscapes, manage compliance risks, promote transparency, enhance data protection, and prevent financial crimes.

Adebayo is a proud member of the Compliance Institute of Nigeria (CIN), holding both the Designate Compliance Certification (DCC) and Certified Compliance Professional (CCP) credentials.

He holds a degree in Agriculture from the University of Ilorin and is currently pursuing an MBA at MIVA Open University.
