“Mrs. Cathy Echeozo started her banking career in 1984 with Chase Merchant Bank Nigeria and also worked with Ecobank Nigeria Plc. She then began her 24-year career with GTBank in 1993. She was appointed to the Board of GTBank as an Executive Director in March 2005, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Bank in 2011 and served in that capacity until her retirement in March 2017. Mrs. Echeozo also represented GTBank on the Board of Nigerian Interbank Settlement System (NIBSS) from 2008 till March 2017.

 After her retirement in 2017 from GTBank, Mrs. Echeozo was appointed to the Council of The Nigerian Stock Exchange as the Second Vice President and also served as an Independent Director of Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited from 2017-2020.

 She presently serves as the Chairman, NGX Regulation Limited, a subsidiary of the Nigerian Exchange Group, an External Member of Investment Committee CDC Group, a Member Board of Trustees First Cardiology Foundation, Member Finance Council, Catholic Archdiocese of Lagos and a Member Board of Trustees, ICAN University.

 Mrs. Echeozo holds a first degree in Accounting from the University of Nigeria, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, University College, USA. She became a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria in the year 2000 and a Certified Information Systems Auditor in 2005.

“Mrs. Adetoun Dosunmu is the Executive Director in charge of Investment and Business Development in GTPension. She has 24 years of experience in a variety of treasury functions, including Fixed Income Securities, Assets & Liability Management, Foreign Currency Trading, and Derivatives.

Adetoun started her career in 1999 at Fortune Bank, where she held positions in Private Banking before moving to Treasury. In 2002, she transitioned to First Securities Discount House Ltd (FSDH) where she served as a Dealer in the Treasury department until 2007. Later on, she joined UBA and held the positions of Head, Interest Rate Unit and Head, Fixed Income Trading, both within the Treasury division of the bank.

Prior to joining GTPension, she was the Group Head, Fixed Income, Currencies, Treasury, Correspondent Banking and Sales at FBNQuest Merchant Bank, and an Executive Director of FBNQuest Asset Management Ltd. Furthermore, she is a former President of the Financial Markets Dealers Association (FMDA) and she represented FMDA as a Non-Executive Director on the Board of FMDQ Depository Ltd.

Mrs. Adetoun Dosunmu has a degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan (1997), and obtained a Post Graduate Certificate in Business Administration from the University of Warwick, UK in 2015. She is a member of the Institute of Directors and has completed professional courses at prestigious
institutions including the Wharton Business School.

“Mrs. Mofoluke Dosumu is a seasoned professional with over thirty-four (34) years’ work experience in the Banking industry. She began her career at FSB International Bank plc as a Treasury Officer and furthered her career at Equitorial Trust Bank Ltd as a Deputy General Manager heading the Operations and Treasury Department between 1990 - 2001.

In 2008, Mrs Dosumu was appointed Treasurer of First Bank of Nigeria plc. She later joined the Board of Oceanic Bank International plc as an Executive Director in 2009 and served in that capacity until 2010 when she was appointed as Executive Director on the Board of Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), a role she held until 2015. 

Mrs. Dosumu holds a first degree in Accounting from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Institute of Credit Administration. She is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Directors, Nigeria and a Member of the Society for Corporate Governance.

“Mr. George Uwakwe began his 29-year career with GTBank in 1992 where he served in various departments including Operations, Marketing, Audit, Compliance and Risk Management. He was appointed Chief Inspector, heading the Internal Audit division of the Bank in 2002. In 2010, he became the Bank’s Chief Risk Officer (CRO), overseeing the Bank’s Enterprise-Wide Risk Management Division and served in that capacity until his retirement in 2021. 

Mr. Uwakwe was appointed to the Board of GTBank Liberia as a Non-Executive Director from 2019-2021, where he served as the Chairman of the Board Credit Committee and was a member of the Board Risk and Board Audit Committees.

 Mr. George Uwakwe graduated with Honors in Accounting from the University of Port-Harcourt and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, a Honorary Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Loan & Risk Management of Nigeria and he is Certified by the Standards Organization of Nigeria as a QMS Lead Auditor.
